So back in October when we cancelled the Winter Series ( 🙁 ) we said we would start offering prizes for the Wednesday night championships and last night saw the inaugural Wednesday Night Prize Giving. Everyone that completed the minimum 12 out of 15 rounds was eligible for a prize and most of you were there last night to collect. We hope you all liked your prizes and a chomping at the bit to crack on with the new championship! We will be giving prizes for the Wednesday championships for the foreseeable future so keep it clean, keep it legal and may the best drivers win 🙂
Because we love him so much, here are 27 pictures of Alan…
So that concludes the current batch on non-championship weeks. Next week will be Week 1 of the new championship and Week April of the truck championship. As week 1 of the championship coincides with truck week, we will hold over prize giving for the previous championship until week 2. If you completed 12 out of the 15 weeks, you will get a prize 🙂 With the start of the new championship you are reminded that you need to be running a 7.5T motor and schumacher U6786 Block tyres on the rear. Don’t be surprised if there is a surpise technical inspection next week…
Thank you to everyone that has returned any club transponders they had but there is still a little more work to be done. The following transponders are still missing: 8, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16 & 21. If you have one or more of them, please bring it back. Thank You 🙂
Of the 15 transponders we had for sale this week, only 2 were left last I heard so be quick if you want one. If there is enough demand, we will get another batch in.
The transponders have been ordered from MRT and will hopefully be with us soon. They will be £40 each. About 10 people put their names down for one and we have 15 coming so there are a few spares if anyone is interested. Thanks to everyone that returned their club transponder this week. If you have one of the club owned yellow transponders, please return it on your next visit. The yellow transponders should not leave the building in your possession. As a way of saying thank you for your co-operation, here is a picture of my cat 😉
We’ve started recalling all of the club handout transponders this week just to make sure they can all be accounted for. If you have any please bring them with you next time to come to the club and return them to Dave when you book in. We’re getting another batch of transponders in to sell in the next week or so. Price to be confirmed.
It’s non-championship for the 4 weeks of March and round 1 of the new championship will start on the 3rd of April.
It was however the 3rd week of the Truck championship 🙂
New server for the FORCC website
Over the last couple of days I’ve had to migrate the club website onto a new server as our old provider was closing down. The move is now complete but there may still be a few quirks I haven’t found yet. The server change has to propergate it’s way around the internet so you may experience issues accessing the sight fully over the next couple of days.
And the Winner Is (at EPR)
EPR put on a great Winter Series over the past 6 months which was well supported by a lot of FORCC regulars. The final round was last weekend and it would see local XRay legends Matthew and Nathan taking top honors in 2WD and 4WD respectfully.
Just a friendly reminder that the club owned yellow transponders are not intended to be used long term. If you’ve been with us long enough to consider yourself a regular and you are using a club handout transponder, please consider purchasing your own personal transponder in the near future thus freeing up the your club transponder for other people to use. We didn’t have enough thisevening…
