Racing updates:

Open Practice

In response to feedback, there will now be a period of open practice before the formal practice sessions start. Some points:

• Open practice will commence once track building is complete
• Will run until numbered practice sessions start
• Self regulating, self-marshaling
• Be prepared to slow or stop when people enter the track
• USE COMMON SENSE!!

Pre-race procedure

• Take car to stage and place in a safe, off-racing line position
• 1 sighting lap can be performed to check car is working properly
• Return car to stage area
• When all cars have completed sighting lap, cars can line up on the grid
• Be prepared to slow or stop when people enter the track
• USE COMMON SENSE!!

Marshaling

There are still a few instances where the marshaling is not quite up to standard, we will provide some guidelines on this next week

If you cannot marshal, for whatever reason, make sure you have organised a substitute, either directly or speak to a committee member – there are too many instances of races starting without the full number of marshals.
