week 8

Another cracking nights racing on Wednesday night. Thank you for coming and supporting us, 5 heats of 2 Wheel drive action with 29 drivers and 2 heats of 4 Wheel drive action with 8 drivers. A special mention to our youngest driver George, at only 4 years old he is putting in double figure rounds consistently over the last two weeks! Great driving, not long before youโ€™ll be beating dad, just like your brother! ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

Pictures from the pits this week on Instagram, get yourselves over there, remember to follow us. Our Instagram โ€“ https://www.instagram.com/faversham_forcc/

Videos from the GoPro showing full races over on YouTube, this time the ramp wasnโ€™t in a position where I felt I could safely grab some slow motion pictures so none this time round. Our YouTube โ€“ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFVX3r29hjLPg3nMK-RJugg/videos

Please remember next week is truck week! Iโ€™d remind everyone it is a championship so please try to remember no demolition derby this time, Iโ€™ll promise to try not jump the ropes or attack Alan this week! ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you all, Mark.

Week 7

Back to the normal racing this week after last weeks little break. Thank you to Jon for his support with FORCC and we hope you enjoy the little gift as you focus more on the racing than the admin! ๐Ÿ™‚

The results are updated on the usual results page on the site, and a huge thank you to everyone for turning out and supporting us every week. I appreciate it’s been extra tough with Operation Brock and getting through Faversham and we are grateful for your support.

The pictures I took of the starting grids have been uploaded to our Instagram account, please pop over and give us a follow, thank you. Our Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/faversham_forcc/

I have also uploaded all the slowmotion and superslowmotion video footage that I took that night to our YouTube account, again please follow and subscribe to the account. I found it extrememly interesting seeing the amount of flex in some cars over others as well as the different lnes used by different drivers. Obviously as this was a first attempt I’ve gone a little overkill practicing, but there is some great footage of flying cars! Looking forward to next week, see you all soon, cheers, Mark.

Alan Party/Christmas

Well, what can we say, FORCC put on a night to remember!!

Iโ€™d like to say a huge thank you to Ness, Jodie, Kyle, Kay and Dave for helping to give Alan โ€œThe man of the hourโ€ Moon, a great retirement night from committee work with FORCC after OVER 30 YEARS of service. Alan will still be racing with us and reminding you to put stuff away at the end of the night so donโ€™t be expecting an easy time and for him to quietly disappear into the background ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ โ€ฆ

Sadly Jon could not be with us on the night as he is away with his family, but our sincere thanks extend to him for all of his service to FORCC over the years too, hopefully, Jon like Alan, will now enjoy being more focused on racing and having less to do with the administration side of the club.

A massive thank you to old friends and racers who made a huge effort to make the night so special for Alan. Hopefully we will see you all soon at another party! Thank you to Mark (Willspeed) for the video, please check it out!! https://youtu.be/nuAx0rs7JkI

Additionally thank you to Carly and Claire for helping with the raffle, to Richard and others who donated to the raffle prizes and to you, the many members of this club for your continued support throughout Covid and with keeping this great clubs wheels turning!

Week 6 results

What a cracking night we had on Wednesday with 46 drivers across 3 classes!! Remember we do welcome all ages and abilities at FORCC! It was great to see so many junior drivers attending during half term, we hope they had a lot of fun!
Itโ€™s safe to say, with all 10 trucks in one heat it was a busy night for the Marshalls too! ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚
Now that said, I do have to keep us grounded, and Iโ€™ll admit to being a culprit aiming at Mr Moon and Andrews ๐Ÿ˜‰ it was a lot of fun and a great laugh, BUT, it is critically important to remember MARSHAL safety is a priority and we DO NOT want anyone seriously injured, a marshal was hurt on Wednesday night, thankfully not too seriously, but a timely reminder about safety please. These are not just our toys that we have invested money in getting going/upgrading and refining, but it is a championship with points making prizes to be won and lost, so congratulations to Matthew and Hattie for staying out of the carnage and scoring good points. Letโ€™s dial it down a little next month and leave the banger racing to the actual banger racers ๐Ÿ™‚

Week 4 results

Good evening everyone. I’ve uploaded the results from last nights racing. Thank you to all the racers and our lovely support people helping out with the tuck shop to keep us all fed and watered. I have uploaded the 2 videos I shot of the 2wd A final and 4wd A final to our YouTube channel. Please have a look and remember to like and subscribe to get the updated videos each week. Thank you. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFVX3r29hjLPg3nMK-RJugg/videos
One of the common questions we are asked is what cars people are racing so last night I did a very quick straw poll.

26 2wd cars raced tonight:
Associated 9
Xray 6
Willspeed (Associated variant) 4
Willspeed (XRAY variant) 2
Schumacher 2
Serpent 1
Losi 1
Willspeed (Schumacher) 1

The Handsets in use:
Futaba 12
Sanwa 7
Absima 1
Spektrum 1
Ko Propo 1

7 4wd cars raced tonight:
XRAY 4
Associated 1
Schumacher 1
Willspeed (Associated variant) 1
The Handsets in use:
Sanwa 4
Futaba 3

Please remember we have our event on the 13th April.

Week 3 results

Good evening everyone, I’ve uploaded the results of Wednesday nights racing. Thank you all for coming and competing. I’ve got footage of all the racing, thank you again to Jodie for helping with recording my heat so I could race. Please remember to save the date for our event and presentations at the hall. I am uploading our video footage to the https://www.facebook.com/Faversham-Off-Road-Car-Club-667575600015641 FB page, but I have also last weekend completed a migration of our old footage to the one single https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFVX3r29hjLPg3nMK-RJugg/videos YouTube account. Once we have the action camera recordings, I’m more likely to store them all there. I will upload more pictures now I’ve created a standalone page within this site. Any feedback on any of the changes, please let me know, thank you all, Mark

13th April 2022, 19:00hrs

Please save the date, FORCC are having a party!

We are hosting our (COVID) delayed 2021 Christmas party, but, most importantly it is our opportunity to say a huge thank you and goodbye to Alan and Jon as they take a back seat from committee work.

As always with our Christmas events, families, partners, children, racers old and new are welcome!

We will be doing food and presentations! 7pm start at Boughton village hall and we may even race a few cars around in a lap of honor! (Obviously championship will be suspended for the evening.)

Week 2 results

Hi everyone, we have uploaded the new results and cleaned up the reults page. To clear up any confusion the new naming convention, Week 2 NC322, simply breaks down as Week 2 of the New Championship (NC) started in March (3) of 2022 (22) , this is purely to make the storing and administration of the laptops and sites easier for multiple people going forward. Any questions please feel free to ask. Please could I ask those who have access to Facebook to drop a note on the page with the car they drive, this helps new people interested in coming down to the club to know what cars are currently being used. Thank you. https://www.facebook.com/Faversham-Off-Road-Car-Club-667575600015641 . I’ve uploaded the couple of videos of the racing from Wednesday to our page as well. I didn’t get everyones races this week, but we are looking at other solutions to get everyones races in. Please let me know if you would like to see anything specific or have any ideas for changes. Thank you. Mark
