Merry Christmas
Well, another year has flown by which means another FORCC Christmas meeting has come and sadly gone 🙁 We hope you all enjoyed yourselves last night. Thanks to Nes and the girls for laying on another excellent buffet, thanks to eveybody that donated to the raffle and thanks to everyone that bought a little festive spirit with them for the evening 🙂 Before we get to the photos, I’ll just quickly bring up the elephant in the room, BRCA membership renewal. It’s £20 for racers or £10 for non-racers. Head over to the BRCA website, log in and renew your membership. It only takes a minute and is a mandatory requirement for racing at the FORCC and any of the other clubs in the Region. Dave will not let you race in January without presenting your 2019 membership card or proof of payment if you have not received it yet.
So that’s us done and dusted for another year. There’s no racing next week and we’re back on January the 2nd, 2019 for Truck week round 1 🙂
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year form the Faversham Off-Road Car Club
Week 6
It’s the Christmas meeting next week so it’s time to get festive and let your hair down for the evening. Don’t forget it’s free entry this year and all we’re asking in return is that you and/or your car are showing a little festive spirit! If you would like to donate a little something to the raffle, that would be super awesome too 🙂
The plan is to mix everything up like last year so randomised heats with different abilities running different classes all in together. You can run what you like (2wd, 4wd, SCT, ST or something else. For one night only, it really doesn’t matter as long as we all have a little fun in the process 🙂 Now here’s a little something to get you in the festive spirit for next week…

And The Winner Is?
Those Short Course boys and girls have been battling away (quite literally) all year and it’s time to declare the winner (who destroyed second place by a massive ZERO points!)… So Congratulations to Dave for the win followed by Matthew in second and Michael in third.

Ho, Ho, Ho!
Christmas is coming which means the legendary FORCC Christmas meeting is just around the corner (Wednesday the 19th to be precise) and it will have all the usual fun, racing, raffle and of course the free buffet. As always, raffle prize donations will be gratefully received 🙂
Usually we charge just £1 for entry into this extravaganza however this year unfortunately we’ve had to factor in the negative impact Brexit is having on the cost of Chicken Nuggets so race fees for the Christmas meeting this year will be increased to £1000 per person. Now I know what you’re thinking, it’s “Wow, that’s still fantastic value for money but isn’t there something I can do to get some kind of discount?”. Well, I’m glad you asked because if you and/or your car are festively decorated on the night we are offering a 100% discount on your race fees! Here’s a handy table so you can calculate your race fees for the evening (Just pick your driver/car combination to work it out):

Decorated Driver | Undecorated Driver |
Decorated Car | Free | Free |
Undecorated Car | Free | One Thousand Pounds! |

So the new championship started last week but due to ‘Motorgate’ we’re going to scrap last week and this week will now become week 1. I need to reset the championships on the laptop before I can publish them so they will go up next week. The results from last night are up but ignore the Week 2 header as it will become week 1 as far as the championship is concerned.
Thank you to everyone that has made the switch and last night we had a mix of 7.5, 8.5, 10.5 and 13.5 turn motors spread throughout the heats. We know there are a few drivers holding out for an open class but they will be disappointed. We don’t want to mix championship and non-championship drivers together or add another heat just for a couple of cars as it’s not really fair on everyone else. I was in heat 4 and watched marshalled heat 5 and I saw some of the closest racing I’ve seen there for quite some time. If we all stick with it, we’re in for some great races over the coming weeks and months 🙂 Don’t be offended if we keep asking you what motor you are running when you book in and subsequently come round to check you weren’t mistaken! It’s nothing personal… Honest… 😉
One last thing, no practice token means no practice. Practice heats are capped at 8 cars maximum to prevent the chaos we used to have of everybody struggling to find clear track to practice on. It really is in your own best interest to work within this system 🙂
